Medical sector

Within the medical sector different medical gases are used, both in private practices as well as in hospitals. This can be both pure gases as well as their mixed forms.

IJsfabriek Strombeek provides different medical gases that are registered as a medicinal product:

• Gaseous medical oxygen IJsfabriek Strombeek n.v. (in cylinders or frameworks)
• Liquid medical oxygen IJsfabriek Strombeek n.v. (in stationary tanks)
• Medical nitrous oxide (laughing gas) IJsfabriek Strombeek n.v. (in cylinders, frameworks or stationary tanks)
• Gas mixtures (in cylinders): these are compounded preparations for which the process of preparation is outsourced by the hospital pharmacist to IJsfabriek Strombeek because we have registrations for medical gases. We deliver lung function test mixtures (declared to the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products), medical air intended for breathing (also supplied in frameworks) and CO₂ 5% or 10% in oxygen (carbogen). 

In addition to these medicinal products, we also supply following medical aid means with CE label: medical carbon dioxide and medical nitrogen.
